Garden Talk Series: Herb Gardening (And Companions)

Planning on putting in an herb garden this spring? Well come on down! Herbs have been used for medicinal, culinary, and fragrance purposes for centuries. Find out which herbs grow well in our region of Tennessee as well as which may be beneficial or just plain beautiful in your landscape. We will also discuss the use of specific herbs as companion plants, to enhance growth and/or deter issues. You can have an edible landscape as well!!

Amy Dismukes is the Horticulture Agent for UT/ TSU Williamson County Extension. Amy is a graduate of Auburn University, where she received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture: Sustainable Fruit and Vegetable Production, and a Master of Agriculture in Plant Pathology & Entomology. She provides educational training for both homeowner and commercial clients about issues concerning horticulture and best management practices, coordinates the Williamson County Master Gardner Program and provides diagnostic services for Williamson County residents. She is a frequent guest speaker for professional, garden, and horticultural associations, and commercial pesticide workshops and conferences.
