Introduction to Microsoft Word 2010, Part 1

If you have limited experience using word processing software but would like to learn more, this class is for you!

Participants will become familiar with the Word 2010 Ribbon, learn the basic MS Word tools, how to create, save and print documents, basic formatting commands and how to cut and paste text.

Registration is required. Each registrant receives an handout to keep and will be doing practice exercises on a library computer. Seating is limited.

This is not a typing or keyboarding class. You will need to be able to type and mouse to get the most out of the class.

*Prerequisites: “Introduction to the Computer” or the equivalent skills.

Registration is required as each attendee will receive a handout to keep and be at a computer to participate in doing the practice exercises on library computers. Please note a minumum of 8 registrants is required to close the Computer Center to the public for a class. Should a class be cancelled all registrants are notified and offered one-on-one appointments with the instructor. The number of participants is limited to the number of computers. There are open desk seats for persons with Word 2010 on their laptops.
