Literary Ladies Book Club

Our August book is Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult. This is the story of how a small town deals with a tragedy that lasted nineteen minutes. The star witness has a hazy memory and the town is feeling divided.
Our September book is the autobiography, West with the Night by Beryl Markham. She was an aviator, racehorse trainer, renowned beauty, while living in Kenya during the 1920’s and ’30s. She was also a good friend of author Isak Dinesen, aka Karen Blixen.
The Literary Ladies Book Group meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Board Room of the Main Library in Franklin, except for January and February. New members are always welcome.
