Join us once again for the Franklin Art Scene at Academy Park!

Our featured artist this month is Ann Light.

Ann Light ‘s new work is a series she calls My Mind’s Eye. Color, design and her sense of humor drives this collection she refers to as funky folk art. Completely self taught, in her other life she was a technical writer as well as a marketing manager. Not fun. Ann has always loved art, looking at it, buying it and making it. She is best known for her award winning series of art spirit masks that have been featured on Tennessee Crossroads. Now she’s moved on from work that was intricate and embellished to roughly cut and designed art made from Home Depot ‘s discard pile. Ann, who works hard at making art that could never be called serious, relishes the opportunity to have you view her sometimes outrageous thoughts through her minds eye.
