Mayes Creek Neighborhood Meeting

November 7, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The City of Franklin is conducting a land use study of a large geographical area in the eastern part of the Franklin Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) known as the Mayes Creek Drainage Basin. The purpose of the study is to identify the community’s vision for this area and update Envision Franklin, the City’s long-range growth plan, accordingly. The City is hosting a public meeting on November 7, 2017 between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Franklin City Hall located at 109 3rd Ave South. It will be an open house style meeting and an opportunity to learn more about the study and offer your feedback on what you would like for the future of the Mayes Creek Basin. With the passage of the Governor’s IMPROVE Act earlier this year, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will widen Murfreesboro Road/96E between Arno Road and Wilson Pike in the short-term future. Moreover, multiple property owners in the Mayes Creek Basin are seeking annexation into the City of Franklin for development. A brief survey has been created to help us understand your preferences.

Please take the online survey prior to December 1st, 2017: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mayescreek
