Felony shoplifters remain jailed after fighting Franklin Police Officers

Two felony shoplifters remain behind bars after resisting two Franklin Police Officers who were taking them into custody. It happened at 6:00 Sunday night, at the CoolSprings Galleria. Chayan Fuentes of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Jorge Lugo of Madison, Tennessee had just stolen more than $1,700 in fine fragrances from Macy’s.

Two undercover Franklin Police Officers approached the suspects moments later inside the mall. The suspects created quite a scene, resisting officers who were eventually able to get them into custody.

Fuentes remains jailed on a $15,000 bond, charged with Felony Theft and Resisting Arrest. Lugo remains behind bars on a $20,000 bond, charged with Felony Theft, Resisting Arrest, and Evading Arrest. Both will appear before a judge Tuesday morning at 9:00 am.
