WCS Teacher Chosen for Tennessee Educator Fellowship

Williamson County Schools Elementary OER Social Studies Specialist Liza Vaughn is one of only 31 teachers in Tennessee to be selected for the Tennessee Educator Fellowship.

The Tennessee Educator Fellowship is hosted by the State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE). The yearlong program is meant to teach participants about education policy as well as how to be an advocate for their students. Those selected for this year’s program come from all backgrounds and areas of education.

Vaughn sees the fellowship as a learning opportunity and a chance to grow as a teacher.

“I am looking forward to reflecting on my time as a teacher and learning more about education policy and research,” Vaughn said. “In the future, this will allow me to be a better advocate for strategies and policies that impact student achievement throughout the state of Tennessee.”
