Regional Art Exhibition to Display WCS Student Work

On January 10, students from around Middle Tennessee were recognized for their artistic prowess at the 11th Annual Middle Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition at Belmont University.

Several students from Independence and Brentwood high schools will have their work on display in the Leu Art Gallery at Belmont University until January 25.

Independence High senior Chloe Copps won Best of Computer Graphics for her piece Out Where Wyoming Stands. IHS senior Madison Gabay earned Best of Painting for her work Blooming Confidence. IHS juniors Madison and McKenzie Owens won Best of DVD/Video Production for their work Racehorse Animation. Brentwood High’s Dalton Schnieder earned Best of Ceramics.

Students who earned a Best in Show award were given cash prizes and scholarships and will be back at Belmont University in the summer for the Best of the Best Show.
